SPIRIT Navigation won the 2015 Interactive Customer Experience Excellence Award

July 13, 2015 –  Interactive Customer Experience (ICX) Association handed out 2015 ICX Association Excellence Awards in Chicago to 14 winners in the categories of digital signage, kiosk & self-service and mobile, as applied across many vertical markets. SPIRIT Navigation has won 2015 ICX Association Excellence Award in the Mobile category for its IndoorSpirit product – an infrastructure-free mobile indoor navigation software that provides reliable 1-meter accurate navigation inside buildings based on sensor fusion.
Scott Slucher, Executive Director of the ICX Association, was impressed with reliability and precision provided by IndoorSpirit navigation software engine on mobile devices. “The fact that this is a software solution without the need for additional hardware such as beacons is fantastic. The practical possibilities are endless,” he said.
SPIRIT Navigation licenses its mobile indoor navigation software engine that uses data from multiple smartphone sensors and does not require any (beacon) infrastructure to be installed in the facility. IndoorSpirit product concurrently uses multiple technologies including geomagnetic fingerprinting, pedestrian dead reckoning, WiFi fingerprinting, map matching and more for heterogeneous data fusion. The indoor navigation engine determines user’s starting position automatically and reliably detects real-time 3D indoor positioning (including floor) with 1m accuracy. Software is easily integrated in LBS mobile applications for Android and iOS.
